Beta v1.0

Beta Tester Terms

Plain-language terms for the BuildRocket beta. Last updated May 2026.

1. What this is

BuildRocket is a beta software product operated by C3 Builder Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). You ("you", "the tester") have been invited to use it free of charge during the beta period. This page sets out what we ask of you and what you can expect from us.

BuildRocket is being tested with a small group of builders and operators to sharpen real-world workflows before a wider release. Your hands-on use — and honest feedback — directly shapes what it becomes.

2. What's mine, what's yours

The tools, prompts, design, and methodology behind BuildRocket are confidential and proprietary. You're welcome to use them on your own projects during the beta. You can't share access with others, copy the prompts, or use them as the basis for a competing product.

Anything you create using the tools — your scopes, your quotes, your operations manuals, your business decisions — is entirely yours. We claim no ownership over your outputs or the data you put into the tools.

3. AI and your data

BuildRocket uses Anthropic's Claude AI service. Inputs you provide (text, files, images) are sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. We don't store your inputs separately beyond what's needed to maintain your session and project history.

Your inputs and the outputs you generate are not used to train AI models — not Anthropic's, and not ours. Your BuildRocket account, sessions, projects, and saved files are stored on infrastructure hosted in Sydney, Australia.

4. Use at your own risk

The tools generate drafts: scopes, quotes, schedules, compliance reminders. You remain the professional. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any output before relying on it for a real-world purpose. We don't warrant that outputs are error-free or fit for any particular use.

Specifically: don't use a generated scope or quote verbatim with a client without reviewing it. Don't rely on a compliance reminder without confirming the actual expiry date with your insurer or registrar. The tools accelerate your work — they don't replace your judgement.

5. Beta means beta

This is unfinished software. Tools may break. Sessions may be lost during outages. Data may need to be migrated when we make changes. We'll do our best to communicate, but the beta carries normal beta risk. Features, tools, usage limits, and access conditions may change, be added, or be removed during or after the beta, and pricing may apply later.

Critical work: keep your own copy of anything important. Always download your outputs.

6. Feedback

Honest feedback is the entire point of this beta. By using the tools, you agree we may use your feedback to improve the product without compensation, and that any product improvements remain our property. If you'd prefer something specific be kept confidential, just say so when you send it.

7. Acceptable use

Use BuildRocket for your own genuine building and business work. Please don't: attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract the tools or prompts; probe, scrape, overload, or interfere with how the platform runs; upload content that's unlawful, malicious, or that you don't have the right to use; or use the tools to produce anything illegal or harmful. If something breaks or behaves oddly, tell us — don't exploit it.

8. Beta access termination

Either side can end the beta access at any time. We'll give you reasonable notice if we're winding the beta down. You can stop using it whenever you like — there's no commitment.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for anything arising from the beta is limited to AUD $0 (the amount you paid). For paid users in future, separate paid terms will apply.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.

Plain-language terms by design. If anything's unclear, email Chris and ask. We'd rather discuss it than have you sign something you don't follow.
